shouldnt be too hard the top is just the inside of a clock on a detailed band.

    I would totally buy one.

*I* am a steampunk jewelry artisan. Recently made some sales so my online shop isn't as full as usual, but am working to remedy. See www.steampunkstation.ets.com ! :)

Hate to sound cynical, but they have taken the inside of a watch and stuck it on a ring base, not exactly fine jewelry art happening here.

It's not 'hard' to do, just as a lot of jewellery can be put together quite easily, but the time and care it takes to make a nice looking piece is definately worth a lot in my mind :o) Here are a few of the pieces I am selling at the moment:

As a Steampunk jeweler for over two years, I have to say, this is NOT beautiful, OR amazing. As was said, this is just a watch movement you can readily buy from e-bay glued onto a band. Simple and overpriced. I'm so sick of websites saying this jewelry that ANYONE with an e-bay account can do is "So amazing."

I'm not going to choose a side with your little debates, but I'm just going to say, if you dig the ways it looks then who cares how hard it is to make?

I am an artist so I completely understand what all of the artists here are saying.

Personally, I would rather go with one that someone takes painstaking precision to create than one cheaply made, because I am an artist and I appreciate the effort put into it. But if someone doesn't give a fuck, then let them enjoy their cheap jewellery.

And a jeweler ring is just a metal band with a premade stone stuck on?

I think your missing the point here, I dont care how its made or where the materials come from; i'd buy it because it looks good.

Having said that is there any link to a store that is still up, and has products to buy?
