I did checkerboard on my own back in basic in Fort Jackson SC in 1988. The drills noticed it but I guess there was no field manual regulation about PT sneaker shoelaces so they let it go.
If this is from another website, mr anonymous, please do post us a link, not sure how those letters would have gone, all I can get "lacing dome hjkbf" and then I get bored.
Just a warning to some of you kids out there that are quick this is a "cool" idea. Here in the Bay Area gangs identify friends and enemies by their shoelaces. It's as dangerous as wearing a blue shirt to a Blood party. If you see someone checking out your kicks get ready to be ganked later. Just food for thought.
I`m a 28 year old Mum...My little girl is 6... This should be a fun challenge for all her little trainers and shoes...Aghhhhhh... ;) Over and Out...Tralena
Actually, I've seen a BOOK in a bookstore with these EXACT illustrations (the book, however, came with some laces in case you have shoes but no laces). So these were stolen from someone's BOOK, not BLOG.
The book that was mentioned in a previous post was written by the Author of the website...there is a link to it on the bottom of http://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/lacingmethods.htm
I saw these and it caused me to fart loudly and repetitively for over 27.5 minutes. This was embarrassing since it occurred in a meeting with Fortune 500 CEO's who then forced me to retie my sneakers (we all wear sneakers with our navy blue suits, don't you?) until the flatulencia ceased.
Question. When did these start? How did you come about them? I'm asking because two/three years ago, I was doing marketing research for shoes and I interviewed (by chance) a person who personally claimed to have started this whole thing.
During that time, these unorthodox tying techniques were already moderately popular in my place.
