I did checkerboard on my own back in basic in Fort Jackson SC in 1988. The drills noticed it but I guess there was no field manual regulation about PT sneaker shoelaces so they let it go.

Soon all the white kids in my platoon had em.

Just a warning to some of you kids out there that are quick this is a "cool" idea. Here in the Bay Area gangs identify friends and enemies by their shoelaces. It's as dangerous as wearing a blue shirt to a Blood party. If you see someone checking out your kicks get ready to be ganked later. Just food for thought.

Is there a way to print these out? I do not see a link to click for printing.

Did you try to click on the link on the bottom of the post, ASSHOLE !!!!

  51. Anonymous // August 3, 2008 4:13 PM

Actually, I've seen a BOOK in a bookstore with these EXACT illustrations (the book, however, came with some laces in case you have shoes but no laces). So these were stolen from someone's BOOK, not BLOG.

  52. Anonymous // August 3, 2008 4:16 PM

Oh, but the book also included a kick-ass Star of David one that isn't posted here. You should have posted that one: It was perhaps one of the coolest-looking, very unique.

  53. Anonymous // August 5, 2008 3:08 AM

The book that was mentioned in a previous post was written by the Author of the website...there is a link to it on the bottom of http://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/lacingmethods.htm

  54. Anonymous // August 5, 2008 6:04 AM

    thats a bunch of piss

  55. Anonymous // August 5, 2008 10:41 AM

I saw these and it caused me to fart loudly and repetitively for over 27.5 minutes. This was embarrassing since it occurred in a meeting with Fortune 500 CEO's who then forced me to retie my sneakers (we all wear sneakers with our navy blue suits, don't you?) until the flatulencia ceased.

  56. Anonymous // August 5, 2008 6:43 PM

    Unapologetic plagarism. Nice going dickwad.

  68. Anonymous // September 27, 2008 1:08 AM

Question. When did these start? How did you come about them? I'm asking because two/three years ago, I was doing marketing research for shoes and I interviewed (by chance) a person who personally claimed to have started this whole thing.

During that time, these unorthodox tying techniques were already moderately popular in my place.

  69. Jack Beaudette // October 15, 2008 10:34 PM

Wow who took the time to figure all these out? I had no idea there were so many ways to lace your shoes, that is amazing!
